Terms of service

PLACEHOLDER. REPLACE BEFORE PUBLISHING.

This policy is scaffolding, not legal advice, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Replace it with a policy written for your company, your jurisdiction, and the data you actually collect.

The agreement

These terms cover your use of Plinth: the API, the dashboard, the SDKs, and the docs. By creating an account or making a call with a key, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are saying that you may bind it.

Your account

You are responsible for your keys and for anything done with them. Keep them out of client-side code and rotate them when somebody leaves. Tell us at security@plinth.dev if a key leaks and we will help you cut it off.

Acceptable use

Do not use Plinth to break the law, to attack anyone, or to generate content the model provider forbids. Do not resell raw access as though it were your own inference. Do not open extra accounts to get around a rate limit.

Fees and billing

We charge $0.40 per million input tokens and $1.20 per million output tokens, and we pass provider cost through at cost. Paid plans bill monthly in advance and usage bills in arrears. An unpaid account moves back to the free tier rather than being cut off.

Your data and our commitments

Your prompts, completions, and eval sets stay yours. We do not train models on them and we do not hand them to anyone outside the sub-processors listed on the Trust Center. Retention follows the setting on your project.

Availability and support

We publish uptime at status.plinth.dev, and we have run at 99.98% over the trailing 90 days. That is a measurement, not a guarantee. Support response targets are 24 hours on Pro and 1 hour on Scale.

Intellectual property

We own Plinth and everything we wrote to build it. You own your applications, your data, and the outputs you generate with them. You may say publicly that you use us.

Warranties and disclaimers

Plinth is provided as it is. Models are probabilistic, so we do not promise that any output will be correct, safe, or fit for your purpose. Test before you ship, and test harder in regulated work.

Limitation of liability

Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law says cannot be limited.

Termination

You can close your account whenever you like and billing stops at the end of the period. We can suspend an account that breaks the acceptable use rules or that has not paid, and we will tell you why. On termination your data is deleted on the schedule in the privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law named in your order form, and by Delaware law if there is no order form. Disputes go to the courts of that jurisdiction.

Changes

We post new terms here and change the date at the top. Material changes get 30 days notice by email to account owners. Carrying on using Plinth after that is acceptance.
